Trabzon

The Kadahor Regulator and Hydroelectric Power Plant is built on the Altıntaş Stream, a tributary of Değirmendere, along the road to Sümela Monastery in Maçka district, Trabzon province. The water transmission line consists of a modified horseshoe-section tunnel 3,100 meters long. The tunnel design was specifically chosen so as not to disturb the character of Sümela Monastery and the surrounding area.

Kadahor Regulator and HPP consists of 3 Francis-type turbines, with a total capacity of 9.362 MWm / 9.362 MWe and an annual production capacity of 23.338 GWh. It began operating on 07.02.2015. The generated energy is transmitted via a 36 kV transmission line to the Maçka substation. It is within the scope of YEKDEM.
